Anyways, I've been watching True Blood all weekend. Bleh. It's so sexist, it's sad. And it borders on porn. I know HBO has really loose censors, but seriously... It's also really insulting to the South, because it's basically a bunch of people who are completely content to have their entire lives revolve around waiting in this one restaurant in this one town... There's a lot of cool political stuff with vampire rights and the writers are brilliant with cliffhangers, but other than that I don't know why I'm watching it. Probably because I'm a sad, vampire-obsessed freak. I am comfortable in my freakdom.
College applications... gah, I have to start on those soon. I've filled out all the paperwork (online, so it's more pixel-work) but I haven't finished any essays (whoops) or short answer questions. But the biggest issue is that I haven't actually fully decided what colleges I'm applying to yet (double whoops). We still have to do a New York tour, so I've got something like seven colleges to see and narrow down. Joy.
On the up-plus side, How I Met Your Mother and Castle start up again tonight. And House, but I'll have to watch that online later because it interferes with HIMYM. And Lie to Me starts next week, Dollhouse this Friday, and then all of my shows are on. Non-sarcastic joy! Legend of the Seeker doesn't start until November because of all the special effects they need to add in, but I see LotS as one of my "British" shows (even though it's technically Australian) and those are shows I have to watch online, so they don't really count as part of my normal TV schedule. Why am I so obsessed with television? Well, since you heard from me last, I have changed my new dream career to TV show writer/creator. So it's basically a requirement to watch a lot of TV. I watch... 10 or 11 shows. Which sounds a lot less healthy than it actually ends up being, because some shows I don't watch during the year and just catch up on during the summer. Like Grey's Anatomy. But, while I'm doing all that, I have to go back and watch all the "greats", so at some point this year I've gotta watch The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Cheers, Seinfeld, Weeds, M*A*S*H, I Love Lucy, Star Trek, The X-Files... and a ton more. Which should be fun. I'll be a frequent library patron this year.
Speaking of getting to the library, I really have to get my permit sometime soon. I'm almost 17. But I'm terrified of driving. I've been having dreams about crashing the car since I was 12. Please, please, let me not kill anyone my first time behind the wheel.
That's pretty much it. Aside from classes I'm destined to fail, schools I'll never get in, friend troubles, novels I can't seem to write and frequent family arguments, life in the house of Kodette is peachy.
